The project

At the request of Onirica Srl and the local institutions, Field A1 designed and produced a striking projection mapping work on the facade of the bell tower of the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, in the heart of Albano di Lucania. The installation turned the bell tower into a narrative surface, projecting images and animations that tell the story, traditions, and identity of the village. Through dynamic light and digital scenery, the project breathed new life into the historic architecture, bringing out its details and offering spectators a new kind of experience.

Beyond its artistic and cultural value, the event became a moment of gathering and celebration for the community. Residents and visitors came together in the main square to watch an installation that bridged past and present, tradition and innovation, joining historical memory to modern visual technology. The event underscored projection mapping's potential as a powerful tool for celebrating cultural heritage, and as a medium that can turn a place's identity into a luminous, timeless story.

The outcome

A bell tower turned narrative surface, and a whole town square gathered under its light.
