The international production chain: six titles brought to the stage for the US market, on timelines and budgets that don't move.

The context

Between 2021 and 2023, the ticketed immersive exhibition went from curiosity to global phenomenon. Shows were running in dozens of cities at once, each with a different venue, different vendors, different regulations, and the same promise to keep: that the audience in Chicago would see the same thing as the audience in New York. Our work began earlier still: with the creation of each show's master version, the matrix every production was born from.

In that context, the producer's job comes down to one thing: making sure every city sees the same show, with the same consistency, while venues, vendors, and rules keep changing all around it.

What we did

We worked as an executive production partner for international immersive exhibition producers, on six shows: Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Klimt Revolution, Monet & The Impressionists, Mozart the Soul of a Genius, Rome and the Vatican. All are works by Massimiliano Siccardi, author and creative director, signed together with Luca Longobardi (original score) and Vittorio Guidotti (art direction). Field A1 handled their executive production, developing the works with its own team under the direction of the three authors.

Our role was to hold creative, technical, and production threads together in a single point of contact: creating and supervising content, coordinating artists, multimedia designers, vendors, and venues, and guaranteeing that every production reached its audience on the agreed schedule and budget.

The works and their artistic direction belong to their authors and producers. Our job is to bring them to the stage true to the concept, in every city where they open: different work from signing them, and every bit as hard.

The outcome

Six immersive shows staged in more than twenty-three cities across the United States, Canada and China. Together, those shows sold more than 4.5 million tickets.

It's the experience everything else grew from: the way we build a production schedule, the way we treat a vendor, the habit of working toward an opening date that doesn't move.
