OFFF Barcelona 2025
←Architecture turned canvas, for one night in Barcelona.
Since 2001, OFFF Barcelona has been Europe's largest gathering of contemporary creativity: three days of talks, workshops, and installations spanning design, motion, interactive art, and digital culture. For the 2025 edition, Field A1 signed a site-specific work on the facade of the Disseny Hub, the building that houses Barcelona's Design Museum.
A festival like this imposes a precise constraint: a few minutes, a single night, an audience drawn from many different trades. The project chose an immediate language of geometry and color, designed to work on first viewing.
The concept came about by accident. We had been stuck for days, banging our heads against the wall with no idea which direction to take, when Pascal Moscheni dropped by the studio: a DJ and producer behind the music of runway shows and campaigns for Loewe, Bottega Veneta, and Coperni. We scanned his face. And then we slammed that face against the wall, literally.
